Our Very Own IKEA Catalogue 2011

Here’s our own IKEA Catalogue:

IKEA Catalogue

This was taken last Saturday at IKEA Tampines. This was our prize together with a $100 IKEA voucher for winning the My Own IKEA Catalogue Cover Contest in Facebook. We had the highest number of votes; thanks to all our families and friends.:)

The shoot only lasted for five minutes but we had to wait for the cover printing that took almost an hour. Anyways, I had the chance to eat Swedish meat balls and almond cake in IKEA’s Marketplace. Love it!!!:D

Since it was a Saturday, there were too many people… and we did not have plans of buying anything since we will be moving out again. Our $100 voucher is still intact but I already have a list in mind of what to buy next time. I am considering a portable massage table that can fit in a Jumbo Balikbayan Box, changing table with cabinet for TamTam, house decors and some kitchen gadgets. For sure, the Daddy will totally disagree with my list! Hmpf! :->

Watch Me Grow

I have lots of pictures of my little big boy… honestly, I never get tired looking at them. Every picture has a story. And I must say, he is growing so fast. He also look big for a four month old baby boy but he is so charming; his eyes and smile really melt my heart.:x Yup, I do complain how exhausted I am everyday but still, I’ll never get tired taking care of him. He’s such a darling.;;)

Up to now, his baby book is still empty… haven’t written anything yet but every important detail about him is still vivid in my memory. His personal scrapbook that will cover his conception up to his birth is still a plan; I haven’t started anything yet. Hopefully, I’ll be able to finish everything so that I can incorporate that in the slide shows that we will be preparing for his baptism early next year. :)

For now, here’s our fourth month old lil’ big boy darling:

GSS

It’s GSS and even jewelry stores are on sale! Since gold is a good investment, Alvin and I are always joking if we can buy gold bullions instead (as if we have lots of money!). My mom, on the other hand is considering buying gold pieces here and sell them in the Philippines. But the problem is we do not know how to spot a real gold!:-S

As for myself, I am not fond of yellow gold… I want white gold which is more expensive than yellow but has no resale value! I’ve been itching to buy a white gold eternity ring but having second thoughts since I cannot wear them at all since I am taking care of my little boy.:-/

So now, I am a renewed person… instead of bags, I want jewelries that I can pass to my children. Hopefully, I’ll have a little girl… but not so soon! Oh, please!;;)

Travel Fair

Travel Fairs are ongoing everywhere… And Europe is the top selling destination. I read that Singaporeans now are taking advantage of the weaker Euro dollar and British pound by travelling to Europe. Hmmm… travelling to Europe is one of our dreams but with the arrival of the little boy, I think travelling to other Asian countries is better… Japan or Korea perhaps. I once told Alvin that on the baby boy’s first birthday, we’ll celebrate it in Universal Studios Singapore rather than throwing a big party at home. Well, if the Orlando vacation packages are still reasonable, we might consider.B-) Gosh, it’s way too early to plan! Yikes! This is what boredom does…:-P

Not a little boy…

I had my check up last Saturday and according to my doctor, I may experience a hard time during labor since my little boy is such a big boy!:-O He may be a seven pounder baby… As you can see, Alvin and I are small framed but I am also a 7 pounder baby when I was born and was delivered through a CS operation.

Anyways, I don’t mind delivering through a CS operation as long as my baby boy is fine. We’ll see… And for Dadh Alvin, ipon na! <):)

Nesting Instinct

Is it for real?

From what I’ve read, many expectant mothers experience the urge to ready their ‘nests’ prior to childbirth similar with animal creatures. I haven’t felt the urge yet… or am I just naturally born tamad?:">

Actually, we do have plans of cleaning the two rooms and the bomb shelter / storage room in the next few weeks. Would you believe that up to now, the cargo box that I will be sending to Manila is not yet packed… well, it’s just some old clothes, luggage sets and some new things for our home.I still have two months to go and knowing myself… I will do everything a week before my EDD.;) I think i’ll just need to set up his crib since I already advised our cleaner to eliminate dusts in our room especially those under the bed. The curtain is my only problem… I haven’t contacted any curtain cleaner yet!

BTW, should I start packing our hospital bags? Afraid to give birth before full term!:-SS

My Birthday Gift

I received an early birthday gift from my dear Dadh. Promise, it is so beautiful!:x Actually, I am not expecting any fabulous gift from him since we are saving for the little boy’s arrival. For now it’s a secret:-$… but you’ll be needing this to fully appreciate it’s beauty:

Lightscope

It may look like some other kind of safety glasses or eye protection but it’s not… 8->

For my dear Alvin, thanks:-*… You never fail to surprise me. But still, I am waiting for my actual birthday presentssss.:-P

Happy Birthday to me!<:-P

Random Thoughts

I’ve been blogging about so much foods lately… well, we’ve been eating a lot. I barely have two months to go before I give birth and according to my last check up, I am still underweight.:-O Honestly, I don’t want to gain too much weight but I am worried for the little boy. But thank God, my little boy is doing good; his weight is normal for his age. He keeps on getting bigger and stronger everyday. He moves a lot now, always kicking and punching his mama… and it hurts!:">

Just the other day, I was experiencing extreme itchiness on my belly! I hate the feeling… it’s so uncomfortable but what can I do? Scratch it? Gosh, I just put some baby powder into it to at least lessen the itchiness and it somehow helps a little. Now, I have small red patches in my belly… it got worse when I went to the embassy to collect my MRP. Maybe because it was too hot then. So for now, I confined myself (again) in the house.=((

Since I am under house arrest, I had the chance to help to my nephew with his clinical research regarding Mesothelioma. Actually, I just send him some links that he can use as reference. At least I am somehow productive… and helpful.:|

I am also trying to finish reading my books, What to Expect When You’re Expecting and the Great Expectations. I stopped reading Great Expectations especially the part explaining the negative effects of medications used in labor and delivery.:-S I don’t want to read negative issues regarding labor and delivery, I’ll just trust my OB and of course pray a lot!

I need to finish What to Expect When You’re Expecting so that I can start reading What to Expect The First Year. I bought this book for Alvin… but he is not reading it! For sure he’ll read it during my labor while waiting for ‘us’.B-)

The Universal Studios Singapore is finally open… they are selling tickets for $10 inclusive of snack. It’s not yet fully operational, the ticket is for a tour only. Rides are not yet available as of the moment… But still, we want to go! But it’s too hot and with my condition, I don’t think I will enjoy touring around. Maybe we’ll visit the place around December with my little boy in tow.;;)

I’ll be celebrating my birthday on Friday.<:-P On Saturday, I’ll be having another check up… so excited to see my little boy. Hopefully, all is well with me and my little boy.:)

Gifts For Me!

I am still in the process of completing my baby list:)… now, I am into diaper bags. Alvin and I agreed that we should just buy a spacious bag instead of a traditional diaper bag.

At first I wanted this:

Longchamp

Now, I want this:

MissMarc1

Or this:

MissMarc2

They are all cute. I like Miss Marc.:)

Hopefully, Dadh will buy this… considering that Valentine’s Day is coming as well as my birthday! Lucky him, I am not a fan of diamonds, just ‘arte‘.;;)And hmm… before I forget, I never had a Christmas gift! Just a pair of shoes for our wedding anniversary. Well, according to him, the first pair is for the anniversary gift and the other pair is for the Christmas gift!:-P

Gosh, we really need to save… we still have a long list and we need to prepare for the hospital expenses. Now, I am listing all my expenses so that I can cut on some unnecessary things. For the past few months, we’ve been paying a lot in credit card bills… Just now, Alvin had to pay $$$ for our Christmas gifts expense that is due on the 3rd.:-S Hopefully, this year I can start again with a good budgeting skill!:->

Maternity Shoot

We needed a passport sized picture for our Pass renewal in MOM (Ministry of Manpower) last Monday and Alvin volunteered his ‘Azurrot Studio Photography‘ to do the job.:) He took my picture and I took his picture and just printed it out with my Canon Selphy Printer. Since his studio was already set, I also had my maternity shoot.;;)

This is me at 25 weeks:

Me @ 25 Weeks

This is ‘Us’ (Dadh, Mama and Tamtam):

'Us'

We like our pictures… but the passport sized picture was rejected! So I had my picture taken again at MOM.:->

Lolee, my sister, is itching to find a job overseas. Right now she is working as a Senior Analyst in one of the BPO companies in Manila. Hopefully, she can have a new job soon… as a business plan writer or a business analyst in a private banking business. To Lolee, don’t forget your gift for my little boy on your next visit here. You know what his Mama wants for him!:-P
