An English Home for Us…

What do you think of an English Home, will it suit our personality? :-/ I am fascinated with wrought iron furniture; bar stools and iron bed frames… Feeling rich, huh! That’s how I saw it before…

rodMy number one request to Alvin is that I want drapes underneath a white sheen of curtain… Just like in hotels:). I am having a hard time choosing between the two curtain rods,  and it’s very hard to decide! What more with the garden decor… Since we only have a small garden, maybe I can add a wall and fence plant hanger. Will it give an impression of a hanging garden?

Well, our budget is our primary concern… Compute! Compute! Possible, hmmm… For those looking for a wrought iron gate, I discovered a great discount. Go, find the secret wrought iron gate! :D

Lunch @ Rocky Master

Rocky_Master

We dined again at Rocky Master! Yey, Alvin brought his camera this time… I really love their potato wedges particularly the cheese dip! Had to asked for an extra dip again (no calorie count please!!!) :)). I ordered Cajun Chicken with potato wedges and Alvin had Beef Stew Pasta. Alvin likes the beef stew; it makes me wonder, where they get their beef:-/. Is it from US, Argentina or NZ? Those three countries have the large cattle supplies in the world and are major suppliers of beef products. For sure, it was not the expensive Wagyu beef but still it was so delicious:D. For dessert, we had strawberry cheesecake. OMG, am I really on a diet?! :-/ What do you think?:))

Job Hunter

The other week, I attended the JobCentral Job Fair in Suntec City. I was a bit disappointed… their initial question was, are you a Singaporean or a Permanent Resident? So, Alvin and I decided to have a cup of coffee instead!

Speaking of coffee… Starbucks is looking for managers and staffs but still they want a Singaporean or PR. For foreigners, they should have at least two years experience in the Food & Beverage Industry. I am quite interested in working with Starbucks… It will help me with my future goal, having a café in Manila.

Ooh, I just remembered my HS friend who’s currently staying in LA and is also a job hunter like me… She’s addicted to coffee especially now that she’s browsing through typical Los Angeles jobs.  She worked before in their family’s business but she had to leave. For now, she wants to prove something to herself… Well, good luck for the both if us!

Shopping Mode for Alvin

atmIt’s been always raining for the past few days… but it didn’t stop Alvin from going out and shopping! Even if it was raining so hard, we went to Funan IT Mall to buy another gadget for his camera. We also watched the fireworks celebration at Marina Bay, there were so many people! No pictures again! Just before we went out of the mall, Alvin had managed to buy two jeans! The sales lady told me that if I apply for the membership, I’ll get a 20% discount! The membership fee costs SGD50. Too pricey, huh! Compute, Compute! I decided to pay their membership fee… By joining, it saved us 10SGD plus we got two belts and one organizer.

I got another membership card again!

Jologs @ East Coast Road

Alvin’s new favorite Filipino Restaurant is Jologs… unfortunately; their East Coast Road Branch was officially closed! What do you think? Balatino, talaga!!! :))

The last time we dined at Jologs; we had Tocilog, Longsilog and Pancit Palabok! I love their breads, pandesal and Spanish breads… we’re starting to miss home. :D

Jologs

Foods ‘R’ Us

f1For dinner, Alvin wanted to eat kare-kare, goto and tokwa’t baboy at Jologs in East Coast Road. I also wanted to buy some pandesal and Spanish bread for Alvin’s breakfast.:) Balatino talaga… Jologs was closed! We just had our dinner at Foods ‘R’ Us. We ordered Tom Yum Soup, Crispy Baby Squid, Black Pepper Beef and Stir Fried Pig Intestines. It’s a bit pricey for a food court set-up, servings were very small… They added too many garnishes instead to compensate for the small servings!

Wanted: Agents and Buyers

We’re selling our studio type condo unit in Makati! I’ve been posting this ad for a couple of months now… I’ve also been checking some properties (as if we’ll buy!). It excites me seeing beautiful houses and architectures. I want a simple house with a garden and with a nice view… I saw great houses at Wilmington NC real estate; I find the sea cost properties very relaxing. Dream… Dream… Dream!

If anybody here is interested just PM me, okay?

Singapore Fireworks Celebrations 2008

Alvin was very eager to watch this event, unfortunately all tickets are already sold out! Balatino!:))

Hoping that he would be able to capture great images, we had dinner at Marina Square Food Court. Too bad, there were so many people already when we arrived! Balatino talaga! Still, we were able to watch the fireworks display, makisingit daw!:)) But he was not able to capture anything… Hopefully, we’ll be able to get the best view today!

Here’s what I got, a little video using my cellphone.:)

SALE!!!

As I said, I love to shop… for me and especially for Alvin! I am his personal shopper. When we are newly wed, I noticed that most of his office attire is all colored blue! Believe me, I am not exaggerating… in fairness to him, he got all shades of blue! So I started buying and organizing his office attire, now he got so many different colors. And guess what his favorite color is… Pink! (It’s the lighter shades of pink, huh!)

I usually buy his long sleeved shirts and pants from G2000. So every first day of the sale period, I must be present! This time, I wasn’t able to grab something for him… I only had the time to check something for him last weekend but no more small sizes. Imagine, during the GSS I got one pants for him at SGD49 but now the price is only SGD25! Maybe I’ll just wait for another end of season sale!

By the way, here are some of my favorite stores that are also on Sale:

  • Gg5 - Up to 50% off
  • Ness - Up to 50% off
  • M)phosis - Up to 30% off
  • Body Shop
  • Marks and Spencer

Additional Income

I’ve been a plain housewife for almost two years now… doing everyday household chores, learning new things and of course shopping! I’m glad that Alvin and I love to shop, at least I am not deprived to shop. That’s why we are thinking of a business that will give us an additional income…

Alvin is into photography and I am into cooking and baking and we both love to design things using computer software. Since we are far away from home, maybe we can start a small business in designing. We can transact business through the internet, hmm… Since Christmas is coming, perhaps somebody out there can contact us to design their Christmas invitations, New Year party invites, birthday and baptismal invites. Just leave us a message and we’ll help you!
