F1 Fever

I had a very busy weekend… Since Friday we were in the Marina Bay Area to watch the F1 Night Race. Too bad, we don’t have tickets for the three day race but Alvin managed to buy one ticket for the Friday practice… And I waited for him in Marina Square till midnight I-). The good thing was I had the luxury to shop!;)

On Saturday, we toured around the race circuit to look for another best spot to sneak in (so PG!) :)). We walked for hours and hours! Imagine yourself walking around Orlando golf course (minus the greeneries)… Our friends who came along with us were pissed off with this idea! Sorry guys… :-S

For those who are ticketless (like us), the best spot was the Marina Square along Raffles Boulevard since the fence was not covered. Though you hardly see those race cars since that area was the fastest stretch on the Marina Bay circuit and cars are expected to reach in excess of 300kmh at full throttle… Tonight, the race ended around 10PM and Alonso of Renault won the race! During Saturday’s qualifying session, he was number 15. He even told that the race is over… that if they were able to get the fifth or sixth place, it would be a fantastic result. Tonight must be Alonso’s lucky night… but not for Massa of Ferrari. On lap 18, Massa was the race leader but something came up… He drove off with a huge part of the refueling rig still attached to his car. His crew’s signal that he could leave the pit came too early… As a result, he finished the race without a single point for the first time this season:(. I wondered what happened to his crew by now.:-?

I’ll just post more of Alvin’s shot in my next blog. As of now I have to grab some sleep. I-)

Item 2

I want a life size mirror:D… I just want to see how I look (head to foot) just before leaving home. So vain!:)) Right now, I am really thinking of purchasing one… First, I need to know where to place the mirror: bedroom or bathroom? :-/ In our bedroom, there’s a corner beside our ‘feeling’ walk-in closet. That spot inside is perfect considering that we already had a spotlight in that location, but… it directly coincides with our bed. I think it is a bad Feng Shui:-S. If I place it inside the bathroom, I will need another bathroom lighting fixture. That would be another problem. Well, I really need to think about it… I’ll ask my big boss about that!:D

Item 1

I am planning to go to IKEA to buy some household stuff particularly lighting fixtures for our bedroom… I want a new ceiling lighting since the old one was cracked:(. Just like the old one, I want a close to ceiling design; something that provides ample lighting and modern in style. Since I enjoyed reading in the bedroom, I am thinking of having a reading light… a lamp maybe? Or is it too much considering that we already had halogen spotlights in our feeling ‘walk-in closet’? :D

Propagating Friendship Award

award2

I love the blogs of these people and I’m glad to pass this award onto them! All they need to do is to leave the following message on their post when they pass the award on to their chosen bloggers. They all are charmed with the blogs, where in the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut or that they propagate? Then let’s try to give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this

Thanks Janis for this award:).

Now, I am passing this award to…

Lani, Jeng, Thea and Alvin.

Singapore Import Nights 2008

Last Friday I was Alvin’s ‘alalay’ in Singapore Import Nights 2008. :) It was a car show with boobsie girls on the side!:)) I am just wondering why girls are associated with cars. Hmmm… :-/ As expected photographers (professionals and wannabes) are present and they were going gaga over the models and Alvin was one of them! Haha! :D

Unfortunately, we had to leave early at around 9PM to have our dinner… and I am already experiencing foot aches:( (we were walking for more than three hours!:(( ). Prior to that, I even went to the mall/grocery to buy something… I walked for almost half a day already! Right then and there, I was convinced to buy MBT shoes before our next photography adventure. ;)

Here are some his shots…

Dinner @ Pho Hoa Suntec

PhoHoa

We really enjoy Vietnamese foods at Pho Hoa:)… When we were still in Manila, were Pho Hoa regulars. We loved their bowl of noodles; the clear soup that was not greasy.  The fresh coriander leaves, bean sprouts, chilies and lemon wedges on the side did the trick.

To be honest, the Pho Hoa in Manila is a lot better in terms of taste and food choices… Still, this is good enough to satisfy our Vietnamese noodles cravings.:D

*****

Have you noticed, we’ve been eating a lot lately:D… My blog content is all about our dining experiences. I never watched my diet for the past few months now!:(( Actually, I am not really fat, infact I am underweight but I am starting to have bulging fats!:(( Should I start taking diet pills?:-/ I don’t think Alvin will agree… :)

Addicted!

Baker_ManiaI’ve always been an addict : shopping, desserts, TV and video games. :) Lately, I am very much preoccupied with my new PSP game. Promise, you wouldn’t notice time when playing Cake Mania!:D Alvin is also starting to love the new game…

While playing games I am also watching TV (I mean listening:)) ) since I am waiting for Martha Stewart’s show. I love watching talk shows and cooking shows… This morning, I had the chance to watch Tyra Banks Show; the topic is all about women’s addiction. I didn’t know that many women are addicted with smoking and drinking. Good thing is that they have an alcohol rehab to help them overcome their addiction. In Manila, I only heard of drug rehab… Or maybe I am not that aware.

How about me? Do I need help? What do you think? :))

Pepper Lunch Experience

PepperLunch

Pepper Lunch is an affordable DIY fast food steakhouse which originated from Japan. I’ve seen Pepper Lunch before but it didn’t catch my attention since we didn’t like the idea of cooking our own meal… I read from someone’s blog, that the Pepper Lunch in Manila is a big hit! So I asked Alvin to give it a try.:D

We already tried Pepper Lunch twice… Our first experience was just so – so, kaka-pressure!:)) But on our second experience, we enjoyed it already…:) The hamburger steak was very good; so flavorful and so tender. It’s a must try! I also love their beef pepper rice.

*The honey brown sauce was so good; it complements every dish.:)
