Superstar Libra

We had a two-night cruise at Superstar Libra. Its destination was Singapore – Port Klang, Malaysia – Singapore. During that time, I was also on a diet holiday!:->

At Port Klang, there were several tours available; shopping and sight seeing but we did not avail any of the tours since we’ve already been to Malaysia a couple of times. We just attended the activities inside the ship for that day… played Scrabble, Jenga, table tennis and ate a lot :D (as usual).

By the way, there were so many Filipino crews on board… the performers were mostly Pinoys; singers, comedians and dancers. Its like we were in Manila… the gag gay shows thing. :)Libra5On our last day, we attended the Bingo game… One package good for five games was worth $10, we bought two packages. As usual, Balatino! There was one game wherein only four numbers needed to be called, Alvin was not able to get even one number! On the next game, no number should be called for you to win. Guess what, Alvin had the first number! :D On the other hand, I thought I was going to win… only ten persons left and was asked to stand in the stage! After calling three more numbers, I was out! The number – 26; my birthday… ever since, this has been my unlucky number! :))

We enjoyed our short vacation with Superstar Libra but still Superstar Virgo is better. Now, Alvin is dreaming of a Royal Caribbean Cruise. ;)

Gong Xi Fa Cai

Just got back from our holiday… I’ll try to post some pictures next time. In the meantime, I’ll have to pack our things again:-S. No, we’re not having another vacation but we’re moving to a new apartment.

We’ll be moving to a more convenient location this time… near the church, grocery and bus stops. Our new place is not that spacious but we love the place and the unit is nice. Alvin love the bathroom and the bed frames are queen sized. Yey, we can still use the bed sheets that we hoarded.:D

To all: A Happy, Healthy and Prosperous Lunar New Year!:)

Side Trip

Since Chinese New Year will fall on the 26th and 27th of January; Alvin will be having a long weekend vacation… Here at SG, during CNY all stores and shops are closed! So no choice but to stay at home during those days:(… So Alvin and I decided to book a trip instead of wandering inside the house. We will be having a 3D/2N cruise with Superstar Libra:D. Its itinerary is Singapore - Port Klang, Malaysia - Singapore. There is also a shore excursion at Port Klang: Shopping at Mid Valley Megamall but we prefer not to avail the trip since we are on a budget and we want to rest inside the ship to avail the 6X buffet in a day!:D Gosh, I don’t think I can go on with my diet. But I got good news; for almost two weeks, I lost 2lbs without the help of any diet pills such as Anoretix. Now, I think I need a reward… Eating 6x a day perhaps? :))

More Pictures…

From Cinderella :)

Cinderella

Cinderella

Cinderella

Today, we watched Lea Salonga in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella at Esplanade Theatre. It was my first time to see Lea Salonga performed on stage… she was truly remarkable! =D>

The play was funny and very cute. Some of my favorite/funny lines from Cinderella:

  • Queen: If he’s happy, why won’t he get married?
King: If he’s happy, why should he get married?
  • Cinderella: Godmother, do dreams never, never come true?
Fairy Godmother: Well I wouldn’t say never… Just seldom.
  • Prince: Do I love you because you’re beautiful, or are you beautiful because I love you?

Overall, it was a truly magical night… the acting, singing, costumes and production designs were awesome! =D>

Short Courses

Everyday, I look for short courses available here in Singapore… something that I am interested in: probably cooking, baking and even accounting and management:). I’ve been considering the latter two since I want to work again… Unknown to many, I also want to be an office girl. It was also one of my dreams when I was a kid; I like to wear executive attire… long sleeves, skirts, turtle necks, coat and pointed shoes. So arte!;;)

Like me, Pan is also into short courses… as a matter of fact he has already attended three short courses in Manila:->. All three are computer courses; Basic Computer Knowledge, Networking and Programming. Actually, he’s currently taking a Programming course and he will be graduating this coming March. In fairness to him, he has proven his knowledge in Networking at home… we can now all use the internet at the same time; he installed a used cisco wireless internet router. Aside from that he’s also the repair man reformat man of our desktop PC. Always reformatting our PC!~X(

For me, I think I need to update my skills… of arte! :-P

Family Destination

A few days to go and I’ll be a year older… Don’t ask me how old I am:->. But still, I am excited to celebrate my Birthday. For my hubby not to worry about my birthday present, I told him (months ago!) to just give me a travel package;;). Honestly, we have so many travel plans in mind but he is always busy… and of course we have to consider our budget. I don’t want to compromise our savings. It’s a big no – no!:-<

Even though we don’t have definite plans yet, I am always browsing the internet regarding popular travel itineraries/tours/promotions around the globe:). Aside from the usual Asian Tours that are featured in Singapore’s daily newspaper, I found the Branson, Missouri Vacation Packages and Specials through the internet. They have different packages that are budget friendly. For only $457, couple can have a 3D/2N accommodation at Grand Oaks Hotel which includes other great freebies. Good deal, huh! There are also other accommodations and lodging options to choose from that is suited for everybody’s taste and budget.

What special about Branson is that it has something for everyone… live music from world famous performers, magic, comedy, dance, acrobatics, drama, museums and theme parks for exciting and thrilling attractions. Some of their attractions include rides and thrills, outdoors, water rides, go kart, golf and family entertainment center. Aside from hundreds of stores to shop from…  Branson is really a complete destination for the whole family!:)

Morning Heel Pain

It’s been cold lately… especially in the morning. For the past few days, I’ve been experiencing morning heel pain.:( There are so many causes of morning heel pain which include Plantar Fasciitis. Actually, I don’t have any idea of what causes my pain:-/… maybe it’s just a sign of old age! We also have a family history of rheumatism and arthritis.  Honestly, we suspect that it is due to high uric acid… Now, I am not allowed to eat something that is high in uric acid (beans and I.O = internal organs). I was also advised to exercise: stretching or swimming instead of running. For those who are experiencing the same pain… let’s start to work out!:->

Hay, old age!:(

Sony Vaio P

Vaio_P

A few days ago Alvin was excited to show me the newly released Sony Vaio P. I really like it since I am a Vaio fanatic. We honestly have a hard time choosing between Mac and Vaio. Personally, I like Vaio since it is very stylish and very handy. The new Vaio P is an 8 inch subnotebook with thickness under 20mm and weighs only 594 grams.=D> I love it! Unfortunately, it is the most expensive 8-inch atom based subnotebook.:(

For now, I’ll have to stick with my old Vaio. :)

Granite Table

Alvin and I are both excited for our new home:)… Actually, we are having mixed emotions. We’re excited and at the same time, we’re hoping that the expected turnover will be delayed… We still need some more time to save for the turnover amount and for the interior design. One thing is for sure, we have a granite table (hoping with fingers crossed) :->.

table

Every time we’re in Manila, Alvin reminds my uncle about his promise… A granite table!:D My uncle is a supplier of granite in construction companies. His latest projects include the steel buildings / condominiums that are being built in the Fort Bonifacio area. When Alvin and I were newly wed, my uncle/ninong promised that he would give us a granite table when we already have a home. I hope this will serve as a reminder!;;)
