For the past days, I’ve been very busy… we had two sets of visitors. First, Alvin’s brother together with his family and second, my uncle. I was always out touring Singapore for the nth time but still, I shopped with my uncle (for a day only). Can you imagine; I gave up on shopping, just stayed at home and searched for a good receipt printer?! I was dead tired!

My uncle’s arrival was just in time for Club21 members’ additional sale, we both had 41% discount. Still, I only bought a belt for Alvin… I was really tired that I was not able to look something for myself and of course, I am not so into designer clothes. After the discount, it was still expensive. And spending on luxury items is not our priority this time… Take note, luxury items only! Today, Zara will be having their mid year sale and I just can’t wait. Hopefully I’ll be able to grab something for myself… for the past weeks, Alvin has been shopping a lot! And now, it’s my turn…

Aglio Olio is our new favorite pasta, very light and simple yet delicious. So I’ve decided to make my own version… I had it for lunch today and I can say that it’s good (love your own! ) but it needs some adjustments. But still, I ate one big serving! I really need the best diet pills.

This Aglio Olio Pasta is very easy to prepare… The ingredients that I used are garlic, bacon, Italian Parsley, red chilis, olive oil, salt and pepper. The cooking time and preparation time is less than 2o minutes. Real quick, huh!

Tomorrow I’ll cook this again for Alvin’s breakfast.

Last weekend I saw this red Tod’s Nylon Bag on sale and I like it. Actually I also like the black one but it was not on sale. The red bag is at a 40% discount! But my financier did not agree with me this time. He said that it looks very good but still, it’s made up of nylon… and I’ll just probably use it in a few months. And the price is still not justifiable for a nylon bag. But hello, it’s Tod’s!

Sigh. But I really want it… it’s very chic and I want a red colored bag too! I got something to tell… it seems ironic but ever since, I’ve never really liked the color brown! But now, you will often see me carrying brown bags. That’s because of ‘arte‘!

In fairness to my financier, he’s offering to buy me another leather hand bag but I just said NO. Want to know why? IT Show will be held this weekend and for sure, Alvin will buy gadgets and how can I just say no to him? Well, as of this time, he is very interested with the new XBox Natal that will be released soon (?), the new MacBook and iPhone (for me!). Yey!

So for now, I need to think twice if I should get that bag… before the sale ends! What do you think?

- I want to post our dining escapade with some of Alvin’s friends… Before I got sick, we had dinner at Empire State at Iluma in Bugis with Pam and Papsy. We ordered Aglio Olio, Baked Mussels, Half Slab of Ribs and Burger Steak. The food was ok, nothing special and was too oily!

Well, after this dinner I’ve been on house arrest since I am sick!!! I hate it! Why do I always get sick???

- Ever heard of mesothelioma? My nephew is bugging me again to help him with his term papers. Maybe I can help if I feel better soon…

- Anyway, today is my mom’s birthday. Wish I was home with them to celebrate her special day… For sure deadly foods are over flowing again! Happy Birthday Mother!

As I’ve said before, Alvin and I are so into Facebook’s Restaurant City by Playfish. We’ve been sleeping late because of this… not only us but even our friends. One of our friends even wake up in the wee hours just to check the status of her restaurant! Addict!

As we play the game, we’ve discovered so many things. For us, one important factor is the lay out. we reached the 50 popularity status (highest popularity) by putting some obstacles in such a way that the customers walk a little further before they reach the table to give more time to the waiter to clear everything. The higher the popularity, the more people come so more money and easy level up.

I miss blogging! Though Idon’t have any specific subject to blog for now, I’ll just be throwing in every random thought running in my head…

Sad to say, I am sick again! I am just here at home sleeping the whole day because of the medications that I am taking. But sometimes, I’m able to catch some hot news regarding the Philippines’ most controversial video scandal for the year. Honestly, I was able to follow up on things about this issue… there are so many things involved in this matter; betrayal, indecent relationship, dishonesty and drug addiction. There are also many versions of the story… that I sometimes get confused about who the real victim is?

Speaking of drugs, this reminded me of someone who had been through drug addiction before. It was really sad seeing the person going back and forth to the drug rehab. But I swear, I pitied the family most… imagine the pain and the burden that they were going through. But now, when you see this person you won’t have any idea of what he had been through. I can say that this person is just lucky to have himself saved from the addiction. It may have been a blessing not only to him but for the whole family that aside from the rehab, there were government institutions willing to help both the family and the drug dependent.

Hmmm… What else?

My medication is starting to kick in…. I am getting sleepy!

The other day, I went to Taka to check on their mid-year storewide sale. I had no intention on shopping for myself but I was planning to buy some cutleries and table wares. For table wares, I want Corelle but I can’t decide if I’ll take the round or the square. I want the square one since I find it very modern… on the other hand, the round one seems lucky since it is round. One more thing, there were only a few designs available and I don’t have any idea of how much it costs in Manila… For the cutleries, I like the WMF matt (forgot the whole product name) but it’s very pricey. I still need more time to convince Alvin.

As usual, I was not able to buy anything… I’ll just wait for Taka’s Home Affairs Sale or I’ll better ask my friend who is into wholesale of kitchen gadgets if she can give me a good deal. Anyway, I am not in a hurry.
