My Birthday Gift

I received an early birthday gift from my dear Dadh. Promise, it is so beautiful!:x Actually, I am not expecting any fabulous gift from him since we are saving for the little boy’s arrival. For now it’s a secret:-$… but you’ll be needing this to fully appreciate it’s beauty:

Lightscope

It may look like some other kind of safety glasses or eye protection but it’s not… 8->

For my dear Alvin, thanks:-*… You never fail to surprise me. But still, I am waiting for my actual birthday presentssss.:-P

Happy Birthday to me!<:-P

Random Thoughts

I’ve been blogging about so much foods lately… well, we’ve been eating a lot. I barely have two months to go before I give birth and according to my last check up, I am still underweight.:-O Honestly, I don’t want to gain too much weight but I am worried for the little boy. But thank God, my little boy is doing good; his weight is normal for his age. He keeps on getting bigger and stronger everyday. He moves a lot now, always kicking and punching his mama… and it hurts!:">

Just the other day, I was experiencing extreme itchiness on my belly! I hate the feeling… it’s so uncomfortable but what can I do? Scratch it? Gosh, I just put some baby powder into it to at least lessen the itchiness and it somehow helps a little. Now, I have small red patches in my belly… it got worse when I went to the embassy to collect my MRP. Maybe because it was too hot then. So for now, I confined myself (again) in the house.=((

Since I am under house arrest, I had the chance to help to my nephew with his clinical research regarding Mesothelioma. Actually, I just send him some links that he can use as reference. At least I am somehow productive… and helpful.:|

I am also trying to finish reading my books, What to Expect When You’re Expecting and the Great Expectations. I stopped reading Great Expectations especially the part explaining the negative effects of medications used in labor and delivery.:-S I don’t want to read negative issues regarding labor and delivery, I’ll just trust my OB and of course pray a lot!

I need to finish What to Expect When You’re Expecting so that I can start reading What to Expect The First Year. I bought this book for Alvin… but he is not reading it! For sure he’ll read it during my labor while waiting for ‘us’.B-)

The Universal Studios Singapore is finally open… they are selling tickets for $10 inclusive of snack. It’s not yet fully operational, the ticket is for a tour only. Rides are not yet available as of the moment… But still, we want to go! But it’s too hot and with my condition, I don’t think I will enjoy touring around. Maybe we’ll visit the place around December with my little boy in tow.;;)

I’ll be celebrating my birthday on Friday.<:-P On Saturday, I’ll be having another check up… so excited to see my little boy. Hopefully, all is well with me and my little boy.:)

Hot… Sweet!

I’ve been craving for sweets lately… particularly for ice cream since the weather is too hot now! Too bad, ice cream is not allowed for me. But when it’s hot and I am too tired I cannot resist the temptation.:-S Just like the other day when I had to shop for blinds and some things for our home, I discovered a new favorite: Mango dessert with crushed ice and selaseh seed.

Mango Dessert

This is soo good. Not to sweet and not to fattening (I hope) and most importantly, so refreshing. So next time, I’ll order two of this! One is so bitin! :->

Valentine’s Date

Before my research regarding the best hair loss treatment, let me share you our Valentine’s Day Celebration.<:-P So busog!

We don’t normally spend Valentine’s Day but since it was a Sunday, we decided to have a great lunch at Aquamarine in Marina Mandarin. Alvin had been dragging me to several buffets weeks ago but I had to refuse since: 1) I am not allowed to eat that much 2) cost cutting and 3) I am reserving additional fat intake for my birthday.:"> Yes, we’ll have another buffet meal again on my birthday!

Since it was also CNY, the buffet spread was traditional Chinese cuisine. For starter, Yu Sheng was served. Yu Sheng is a popular dish in CNY since it symbolizes good luck for the New Year.

Our desserts:

Vday4

I had so many desserts since there are lots of foods that are not allowed for me… pate, sushi and some other processed and raw foods on the buffet spread.:(

Anyways, I enjoyed our lunch… Thanks to my dear Dadh!:-*

To all Happy Valentine’s Day and Gong Xi Fa Cai!<:-P

Dinner at Tambuah Mas

After lunch, I went to Orchard to check this adult acne products that Lolee is asking about… I also bought something for the little boy since Mothercare at Paragon is having a 15% discount for DBS Cardholders aside from their CNY promotion.:)

Just before Alvin arrived, I was already done with my shopping. Well, I should be! We just met at Takashimaya and had our dinner in Paragon at Tambuah Mas, a restaurant that specializes in Indonesian homestyle cuisine.. We ordered Dendeng Belado (crispy fried beef slices, served with chopped chili and onions) and Ikan Nila Goreng (crispy fried red fish, served with homemade sweet and spicy dark sauce) and Es Cendol Kacang (homemade green bean jelly and red kidney beans in coconut milk and palm sugar) for dessert.I love the crispy fish… In fact, I was the one who almost finished the whole fish! I just gave Alvin a little portion of it! Haha! I miss eating fish… Fish is ok for me but I rarely cook fish here in our home since I don’t want the stinky smell of fish and Alvin is not into fish.:(

The crispy beef slices dish is also good (though a little bit dry)… it reminds me of my mom’s pindang (fried carabao meat slices). :)

Late Lunch @ Marche

I was too preoccupied looking for available online degrees while Alvin was too busy playing NBA 2K10 that we almost forgot to take lunch! If not for the little boy, I would just spend my whole day browsing the net just munching any chips to suffice my hunger. Bad Mama!:-$

Marche1

Marche2

Anyways, we decided to have our lunch at Marche in Somerset 313. Since it was already late, there was no queue… I just ordered the plain potato Rosti and watermelon juice since I am not allowed to eat sausages. I love the Rosti with sour cream and mustard but apart from that, I couldn’t find something to eat that would match my Rosti:-S… everything is against what I should be eating!

Marche3

Alvin had the T-Bone Steak with mashed potato and root beer. Though he ordered a well done steak, it was still bloody. The steak tasted very bland… as in no taste at all.=((

Sinful Friday

I am no longer in a diet but still advised refrain from eating sweets… but how can I resist this???:x

Fruit Paradise

This Fruit Paradise Cafe is so tempting… their display is really mouth watering.=P~ It seems like a healthy dessert because of the fresh fruits but beware of cream over load! Can too much cream cause acne???

I ordered the Banana Chocolate Tart and I was so happy with the first bite, creamy and not too sweet. I am a cream lover but with the succeeding bites, I felt sick with the cream!:-& The tart really has a thick cream layer… though I must say that the tart base is good; crispy and not too sweet.

Dinner at The Muthu’s Flavors

Right now we are cutting down on our expenses but still, I want Alvin to have a good treat after a long tiring week. We were supposed to eat at Marche in Somerset 313 but the queue was too long.8-| So instead of waiting, we decided to look for another place to eat…

We saw this Muthus at the mall directory and decided to give it a try… We had Pappadam Bruschetta for appetizer; Tandoori Chicken, Lamb Curry and assorted Naan for the main course.

Muthus1

I liked the Chicken, so tender and moist.

Muthus2

The Lamb Curry’s sauce was very watery… a little bit disappointed.

Muthus3

Muthus4

As usual, I was so full… By the way, I am no longer in a strict diet but I still need to avoid sweets. Based on my last check up, my weight is the same as last month which made my Doctor a little bit worried. She told me that no weight gain is also bad… on the other hand, I felt relieved that my little boy’s weight is just right for his age.Hopefully, after I gave birth to my little boy I will be back in my pre-pregnancy weight; my weight two years ago? :-P… so I won’t be needing the kymaro body shaper that my friend is raving about.:)

Weird Dreams

I read that pregnant women tend to have weird dreams… On my part, I have funny dreams! Yup, so funny that when I wake up, I cannot help it but smile.:D

Some of my funny dreams:

  • I became a member of a group (similar to Bioman; code name is color). The first scene is that another member was trying to transform as Red One. And when it was already my turn… I asked, who am I? They said, PEANUT! Is there such thing as Peanut color???
  • According to my dream, my grandmother inherited a small house and later on, she found out that there were two more siblings who were after the property. According to the will, it was for her but then again, these two siblings came from nowhere and claimed that they were half sisters. Well, to cut the story short, my Father decided to cut the house into three. So after that, everything went well… Lolee even stayed in my grandmother’s house and someone got a crush on her! Who??? Vice Ganda!=)) Too much Show Time!

But lately, I am not getting enough sleep(:|… it’s soo hard to find a comfortable position plus clogged nose and occasional headaches. From what I read, these are common in pregnancy; it’s the body’s defense against germs and allergens. Is there any best over the counter sleep aid pills that is considered safe for pregnant moms? Hmmm… Well, few more weeks to go!:)

Sale @ Expo

I went to Singapore Expo just for this sale event… hoping to find something for the little boy. I didn’t intend to buy something for myself since I have lots of stuffs that I haven’t used for a long time. I am actually planning to sell them (upon Alvin’s approval/:) ). Alvin on the other hand, is not a fan of this brand since the size is too big for him.

This is what I got for the little boy: :)

BB1

The price? I think it’s a good deal already… considering the original price but don’t ask me how many hours I had to queue just to enter the hall and pay the said merchandise. And now I am wondering, is it really worth it?:-/:-S

NO more Expo Sale for now! Promise! And before I forget (I am becoming forgetful lately:( ), I still need to call the moving service / cargo service center… I need to send some of our stuffs in the Philippines.
